Plagiarism Policy
The Journal is very strict about not allowing any kind of unethical copying or plagiarism. When a large part of a manuscript is copied from a source that has already been published, this is called plagiarism. ITHENTICATE/TURNITIN SOFTWARE IS USED TO CHECK PLAGIARISM IN ALL MANUSCRIPTS SUBMITTED TO SRJ FOR PUBLICATION.
It is unethical to copy someone else’s ideas, processes, results, or words without giving credit to the original author and source. This is called plagiarism. SELF-PLAGIARISM OCCURS WHEN AN AUTHOR UTILIZES LARGE PART OF HIS/HER OWN PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK WITHOUT USING APPROPRIATE REFERENCES. This could mean getting the same manuscript published in different journals or adding new information to a previously published manuscript.
Manuscripts that are found to be plagiarized during the first stages of review are immediately rejected and not considered for publication in the journal. IF IT IS FOUND THAT A MANUSCRIPT HAS BEEN PLAGIARIZED AFTER IT HAS BEEN PUBLISHED, THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF WILL DO AN INITIAL INVESTIGATION, POSSIBLY WITH THE HELP OF A SUITABLE COMMITTEE SET UP FOR THE PURPOSE.
IF THE MANUSCRIPT IS FOUND TO HAVE TOO MUCH PLAGIARISM, THE JOURNAL WILL CONTACT THE AUTHOR’S INSTITUTION, COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, AND FUNDING AGENCY, IF THERE IS ONE. IF MISCONDUCT IS FOUND, THE SRJ WILL RUN AN ONLINE STATEMENT THAT IS LINKED BOTH TO AND FROM THE ORIGINAL PAPER TO POINT OUT THE PLAGIARISM AND REFER TO THE PLAGIARIZED MATERIAL.
On each page of the PDF, there will also be a mark next to the paper that has copied text. When the amount of MORE THAN 10% plagiarism is found out, the paper may also be formally retracted.
